Today on Day 19 of 60 Days Blogging Challenge we are going to talk about one of the most important aspects of blogging: Copywriting or Rewriting articles.
Is Rewriting Articles ethical?
No matter how good you are as a content creator, you will need to research and need to write on ideas and content which has already been written by someone. But there is no reason to feel guilty about this fact. There is no logic in reinventing the wheel or re-researching an article which has already been researched.
On Day 2 of 60 Days Blogging Challenge, we already declared that you will need to create at least 25 good quality articles to start earning 500$ per month from your blog. So for doing that, you will need to copywrite or need to practice rewriting articles at some point of time.
Most people find rewriting articles easier than original content creation (For me it’s just the opposite). The right way to rewrite articles is to first write whatever you know on the decided topic, then research and add the points and details which you missed out and publish the article.
But if the topic is completely a mystery to you then you are left with no option other than to start rewriting from scratch. Today I will list some helpful tips on How to perfectly rewrite your article quickly in a way that will improve your writing skills too.
What not to do when Rewriting articles
Some people just copy the whole article and then rearrange the words of each sentence in a way that it seems unique but the content and structure of the article remains exactly the same as the mother article.
Original sentence: “Rewriting is the easiest job a blogger can do.”
Rewritten sentence: “Rewriting is the simplest task a blogger can perform.”
This does injustice to the original writer of the article along with your writing skills too.
Though this is an eligible case of rewriting an article, this method is not recommended by us, unless there is no other possible way out.
If you still want to follow this method, you can choose popular online rewriting services such as Spinbot. These services produce 95% correct rewritten text of the article you submit. But for the final submission, you need to proofread the article, check for any grammatical mistakes using Grammarly and add necessary focus keywords at appropriate places to maintain at least 1% density of your chosen SEO focus keyword.
For ProofReading, you can also consider using ProofReading Tool.
SpinBot + ProofReading is an epic combination to produce rewritten articles in minutes.. ( Complete SEO guide was provided at Day 11 of 60 Days Blogging Challenge .
What to Do when Rewriting articles
Rewrite the idea not the words:
When you are rewriting an article, the core rule is to copy the idea and not how and what words have been used to write the article. You should go through the whole article, understand the idea being delivered, come back to your writing area and create content from scratch. If you aren’t that great at memorizing stuff, you can always create the whole article paragraph by paragraph.
Rewrite paragraph by paragraph and not sentence by sentence
If you try to recreate the article sentence by sentence, the probability is that you will end up reusing the word and structure of the original sentence. This process is also way slower than paragraph by paragraph method.
While rewriting, read the whole paragraph at once and then recreate it. Our mind will be more prone to using our own words to deliver the idea in the simplest manner. This is the same as writing an examination paper.
Place the original paragraph below your article
Rewriting articles is practiced to recreate articles fast. One of the methods which I usually follow is to place the original paragraph below my writing area for quick reference of the idea or to check that my content doesn’t appear copied and after the process, I delete the paragraph and paste the next paragraph to be rewritten. This method stops me to break the flow of writing by preventing me to switch browser tabs and search for the paragraph being copied.
Changes are good
If you in doubt that the idea being copied is not that great and you have a better understanding than the original one, then go ahead and change it. You should let your original voice reach the world.
In any case, you think that you can add more value to the original article then do it. At the end, you will produce a great and upgraded article than the original one.
So today we discussed 4 powerful tips for rewriting articles in an awesome way.
